For nearly 90 years, Kilgour School has offered Mt. Lookout and surrounding neighborhoods an outstanding public school.
Over the past 20 years Kilgour has been recognized for our outstanding achievements in academics. We have been awarded the Presidential Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and the Ohio Department of Education has continually rated us “Excellent” or “Excellent with Distinction” since the 2005-2006 school year. “Excellent with Distinction” is the highest level of achievement in the Ohio Public School system, and Kilgour is the only school in CPS to earn this distinction!
Today, Kilgour is a K-6 school with an enrollment of approximately 640 students. Many children attending the school are children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren of Kilgour students of past generations. The Kilgour of today looks toward the 21st century, with the strength from the past and goals for continued excellence.
